Under the slogan (Modernizing the Legislative System in Kurdistan Region – Iraq), College of Law at Sulaimani University in collaboration with both Colleges of Law at (Duhok University, Salahaddin University) hold an international scientific conference on 6th and 7th of March. The conference was under the supervision of the President of the Diwan of Council of Ministers and the Minister of Higher Education, entitled (The Reality of National Legislation in Facing Contemporary Challenges in the Kurdistan Region – Iraq as a model). It is worth mentioning that 46 scientific papers were presented at the conference by participants from 10 different countries.
At the end of the conference, we would like to express our gratitude to the Presidency of the Department of Law, the Scientific Committee, the Preparatory Committee and the committee that was responsible for determining the topics of the conference, especially the following participants from our college: Prof. Dr. Shorsh Hassan Omar, Prof. Dr. Ismail Namiq Hussein, Prof. Dr. Adnan Baqi Latif, Assistant Prof. Dr. Zana Rafiq Saeed from the Scientific Committee, Assistant Prof. Dr. Mustafa Rasul Hussein, Assistant Prof. Dr. Avan Abdulaziz Reza, Dr. Shakhawan Saber Ahmad from the Organizing Committee, Assistant Prof. Dr. Bakhtiar Siddiq Rahim.
We also would like to thank the participant researchers from our college Prof. Dr. Shorsh Hassan Omar, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Jalal Hassan, Assistant Prof. Dr. Shalaw Sabah Abdulrahman, Dr. Hiwa Ali Hussein, and Shilan Rauf Latif. In addition, we would like to thank the Deanship of the College of Law at Duhok University for taking into account the utmost criteria for the success of the conference.
Finally, we hope that the recommendations of the Conference which is in favor of the modernization in applicable laws will be taken into account by the relevant institutions.
